My 10 Suppressed Natural Cancer Cures

natAs I have been saying in previous articles the medical/pharmaceutical owned and controlled cancer establishment do not want you to know that ever since time immemorial there has been cheap, natural and non-toxic cures for cancer.

If any of these non-patentable cures were allowed to be known to the public at large then, as a result, they would seriously undercut the medical/pharmaceutical owned and controlled cancer establishment’s business. So, whether it has been through making these successful alternative cures with their related practitioners illegal or paying off the mainstream media to blackout, ignore or ridicule, even when knowing they do in effect cure cancer, the establishment have shown that money is more important to them than truth.

The establishment’s treatment of cancer: chemotherapy, radiation and surgery largely achieve poor results and cancer is therefore only a major life-threatening illness because of the suppression of the highly effective cheap, natural and non-toxic cures.

So here’s my list of 10 suppressed natural cancer cures. Indeed, this is not an exhaustive account and you may know others. Either way I encourage you to do your own research but beware of the deliberate misinformation media sources with their weak arguments and purposely left out relevant information to make the case against cheap, natural and non-toxic alternative cures look stronger or plausible. Some of them are secretly cancer establishment sponsored!

1. Royal (William) Rife’s Cancer Machine

In the 1930’s California microbiologist Royal Rife after many years put together a ‘universal microscope’ basically designed to focus on cancer cells by identifying their wave frequency of vibration being different to normal cells… The universal microscope could then be used to send beams of a specific frequency from a ray tube which zapped and killed the cancer cells. This Rife called the mortal oscillatory rate which was very successful in destroying cancer in patients. So successful, in fact, Rife’s machine cured 16 out of 16 cancer patients and some had been hopeless cases.

However, into the 1940’s and 50’s well into the manufacture of the cancer machines, having established treatment clinics, Rife found himself caught up in a legal wrangle with the establishment’s big boys such as the American Medical Association. In spite of Rife winning court cases… his equipment was finally laid to rest, seized by the authorities for illegal alternative practices in medicine.

2. Laetrile Cancer Treatment

Ernest Krebs learned that the isolated indigenous Hunsas people living at the foot of the Himalayas lived to very high ages before death. He found that apricot kernels was very much used in their diet, containing high vitamin B17 levels, which he theorised was responsible for contributing to no cancer recorded in this area. He made a refined (distilled) version of vitamin B17 and called it laetrile. It was found that laetrile or B17 destroyed the enzyme beta-glycosidase in the cancer cell’s metabolic pathway and thus could cure cancer when using it as a therapy.

Bad science (deliberate?), politics, corporate greed and adverse publicity basically destroyed this great discovery from getting deserved recognition at large…

3. Harry Hoxey’s Herbal Remedies

Successful businessman Harry Hoxey after curing his horse with cancer used the same paste-applied herbal remedy on people. His herbal formula had achieved 80% success over 80 years. In the 1960’s his clinic in Texas was shut down for illegal practices… All for curing people of cancer. A former nurse working with Hoxey’s remedy took the treatment to Mexico which still survives today.

4. Metabolic Nutritional Therapy

This is the idea that certain anti-cancer foods can be used as a strict dietary regime. Again this has been highly successful but the cancer establishment seldom mention nutrition: No money to be made there…

5. Gerson Therapy

This follows on from 4 in the respects that it is a form of metabolic nutritional therapy, using body detoxification to assist in the process. Gerson therapy originally devised by Max Gerson was fully recognised in congress from hearings in the 1920’s but was later struck of the record. One can only assume because of the threat it posed to undercutting the medical/pharmaceutical’s businesses and less governmental revenues… if got to the public at large.

6. Otto Warburg Oxygen Therapy

Another great individual with his pioneering work in the 1930’s was biochemist Otto Warburg. He was unjustly ridiculed by the establishment for coming up with the finding that oxygen is an environment that cancer cells don’t like. Warburg said that cancer cells manifest in an oxygen deprived environment. Why do you think you never hear of cancer of the heart? It’s because the heart contains oxygen rich blood… This has been ignored by the establishment.

7. John Baird Proteolytic Enzyme Therapy

At the turn of the 20th century Scottish doctor Baird noticed that during early foetal development the mother’s placental cells behave like cancer cells in that they show rapid growth. By pregnancy day 56, when the foetus has formed its pancreas, it produces pancreatic enzymes that switch off this rapid growth. So basically Baird theorised, given that these placental cells behave like cancer cells in that they exhibit rapid growth, like the foetal cells, could the cancer cells be switched off by pancreatic enzymes? The answer is yes! Yes, cancer could be successfully treated using pancreatic enzymes. However, in spite of its success, the treatment was laid to rest invalidated and radiation therapy was chosen by the establishment instead…

8. Tullio Simoncini Cancer Therapy

Brilliant tenacious Italian doctor Tullio Simoncini has been subjected to huge pressures from the establishment to succumb: In spite of the ridicule and attempts at legal action he continues his work today focussing on treating cancer as a fungus called Candida resulting from a poor immune system. Simoncini found that antifungal treatment did not work. The solution was not only cheap but simple. He gave patients sodium bicarbonate internally through an endoscope (tube). This allows the bicarbonate to go directly to the cancer. As mentioned above this great cancer breakthrough has however been largely ignored by the cancer establishment.

9. Stanislaw Burzynski Antineoplastons

There is a movie available to see on U-Tube called “Cancer Is a Serious Business.” This award winning scandalous true story movie made my cry. It shows how a medical man &biochemist Dr Stanislaw Burzynski discovered a cancer cure using gene therapy, but had to deal with the mite of the American Food and Drug Administration who tried to criminalise him for his practices. A 14 year 60 million dollar US tax payer’s money legal battle ensued… The fact that he had help saved many lives, curing sometimes even hopeless cancer cases was never the issue! The real issue was the fact that Dr Burzynski was undercutting the cancer establishment’s business…

10. Anti-Oxidants

The late great scientist twice Nobel Prize winner Linus Pauling was turned down when he tried to get funding with his colleagues for further research on vitamin C and its role in fighting cancer: He found that leukaemia sufferers had low levels of vitamin C. When these sufferers were given frequently high doses of vitamin C they went into remission (recovery)… Pauling also discovered that frequent vitamin C high dosing stops the migratory pathways that cancer cells use to metastasise (spread). It is inconceivable to me that this could be ignored but has been (and still is).

In summary

The above clearly shows that the medical/pharmaceutical establishment has the upper hand in controlling cancer. Power, political gain and profit are indeed the ulterior motives. I would encourage the reader to do his/her own study and learn to discern: For example, look at the mass media reports on cancer and ask yourself does this have vested interest. Ask yourself who stands to gain..?

Causes and Remedies

jThis article will not be a complex one due to the mass ignorance and fear associated with this subject and fatal pathology. Americans are already frightened to death about cancer and their gross ignorance only compounds the problem, plus, a lot has already been written on this subject, but in many writings, the content is a bit complex terminology-wise and served no beneficial purpose for the masses of the American people.

What Is Cancer?

Many people are succumbing to cancer and the two biggest factors in this succumbing to cancer are FEAR and IGNORANCE. Yes, people are ignorant to what cancer really is and as a result, they fear it.

In 400 B.C., Hippocrates assigned the name of Cancer or crab to a disease encountered during this era, because of its crab-like spread throughout the body. Cancer’s Greek name was “Karkinos.” In 164 A.D., Galen of Rome called the disease “tumor” which derived from the word “tymbos” meaning a sepulchral mound. In Latin, it was called “tumore” which meant “to swell.”

Speaking in my most basic terms to really help the masses understand this pathology, cancer is an anaerobic condition which basically means cancer is the final result or stage of a low oxygen and very acidic state of existence. In a nutshell, this is what cancer is physiologically-speaking.

When someone has cancer, oxygen levels in the body are very low. The body’s alkalinity is also very low. When there’s low oxygen and alkalinity, the body’s cells become abnormal. The cells of the body communicate with each other passing along vital information. Oxygen feeds the cells and allows for proper communication. But when there’s lack of oxygen, a great lack of oxygen, this communication becomes thwarted and the cells start acting abnormally. This is why you hear many health specialists and experts say cancer is “abnormal cells” or “abnormal cell activity.” This is true! Many doctors erroneously say cancer is a proliferation of dead cells, which is not true. If the cells were dead there would be no action. Cancer does denote abnormal cell activity and this abnormal cell activity is due to lack of oxygen and low alkaline level which means excessive acid level or acidosis.

This is what cancer is! And cancer is the second biggest killer of Americans (right behind heart disease) and Western medical experts predict that in the new millennium, one out of every two Americans will ultimately die of cancer. And this is true if we don’t change our ways and our lives.

Americans generally don’t have hearts (heart disease) and they are eating up on the inside (cancer).

Cancer patients/suffers begin to get thin and this is caused by an internal “eating up” process where certain cells start attacking other cells. Now while an “eating up” is taking place in the body, a neoplasm characterized by the uncontrolled growth of anaplastic cells invade surrounding tissue which metastasizes.

Neoplasm simply means “any abnormal growth of new tissue, benign or malignant.” In other words, neoplasm means “tumor” which explains why cancer patients/sufferers become beleaguered with tumors inside of the body and outside of the body.

Anaplastic refers to “anaplasia” which means “a change in the structure of cells and in their orientation to each other characterized by a loss of differentiation and reversion to a more primitive form.” Anaplasia is characteristic of malignancy.

Tumors exist in two states: benign and malignant. Benign means “not fatal or pernicious.” Malignant means “highly injurious, pernicious or fatal.”

Cancer is usually the cause of malignant tumors. In cases of benign tumors that are common in cases of fibroids and breast tumors, fluidic waste is usually the cause.

In cancerous individuals, white blood cells are numerous. The white blood cells begin to outnumber the red blood cells. White blood cells always denote toxicity, imbalance, poison, and foreign invasion of that which is unnatural or that which should not be in the body. Excessive white blood cell count is almost always indicative of cancer.

White blood cells have precursors known as “leukocytes,” also called “leukocyte precursors.” When bone marrow in the body is replaced with these leukocyte precursors in addition to abnormal numbers and forms of immature white blood cells in circulation that infiltrate the lymph nodes, spleen, liver and other filtering organs, the result is a form of cancer called “leukemia.”

Leukemia was initially a cancer indicative of Caucasians in general and Caucasian children in particular. In my earlier teen days I used to always wonder why it was predominantly white children who perished from leukemia. I didn’t understand why this form of cancer only seemed to occur in white people, especially white children.

But when I performed my own research and discovered that leukemia was a cancer found in 30% of dairy cows, it then made all the sense in the world to me why so many white children where dying of this cancer. The leukemia was coming from the cows via their milk and who drank the most milk? – White people and white children in particular. They were drinking milk at home, at school, at restaurants, etc. In fact, other cultures picked up the habit of drinking cow’s milk from Europeans (Caucasians).

A good movie starring Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts came out in 1994 entitled “I Love Trouble” and in this film, its climax showcases and exposes a sinister plot involving milk production from cancerous cows and its relation to leukemia. Movies, though illusions, contain a lot of reality when you know what to look for. I’m a serious movie-goer and watcher/screener simply because I’m a researcher and the Rulers (of the Matrix) hide a lot of information in the movies and like they say, the best place to hide something is before the eyes. This is so true!

However, since the 1990s leukemia rates have risen sharply amongst African-Americans and it’s easy to understand why. All you have to do is look at the high dairy consumption of African-Americans who are lactose-intolerant bio-genetically or by nature. But because they are unwisely following the Western/European-based high dairy diet of Caucasians, they too are now dropping like flies from leukemia.

I was shocked to learn that my South-Central Los Angeles neighborhood friend, Lucius Harris (of the NBA’s New Jersey Nets), older brother named Dino, died of leukemia a few years ago. Dino was a cool dude. It was so strange and foreign to hear of a brother/Black male from the hood dying of leukemia. You always saw Dino back in the day (early 1980s) rollin’ down the street in a sharp low rider bumping his sounds (playing his music) flossing with his cool afro. But this brother fell prey to a form of cancer that was foreign to African-Americans, at least 15-20 years ago.

So yes, leukemia rates are rising amongst African-Americans due to their consumption of dairy cow products such as ice cream, butter, cheese, sour cream, etc.

I have been warning African-Americans, especially Black females/women, for a long time now to leave dairy products alone because dairy is the greatest causative factor in many of the female pathologies such as uterine fibroid tumors that they suffer from. I tell them that dairy is “cow snot” and “cow poop” and have the videos in my collection to prove it.

Even though white people have customarily been consuming dairy products (mainly milk) for a long time, I also tell them it’s no good for their bodies either. They may have a greater tolerance for milk and dairy products than other races and cultures, but it still negatively affects them too.

Milk does not do a body good (unless you’re a baby cow [calf]). Got milk? If you do, you got nothing but PUS (MUCUS)! Almond Breeze, Rice Dream, coconut, soy and oat-based milks are better choices and alternatives for milk, at least for human consumption.

And beware people! Don’t fall for the latest scheme that milk helps in weight loss. The dairy industry is playing on American women’s emotions in the area of obesity and excess weight. If milk helps in weight loss, then why are cows so damn big? The milk should neutralize the growth hormones that are given to cows and prevent them from being so weighty.

The Dangers of Chemotherapy and Radiation

Western medicine’s approach to treating cancer is the cut, slash and burn technique which is insane and diabolical to me. You have to be out of your damn mind to take or undergo chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is chemical therapy, but what kind of chemicals? Can you say PETROLEUM? That’s right! Chemotherapy is nothing but rock fuel (petroleum) that comes straight from the Rockefeller pharmaceutical drug cartel. The Rockefellers owns the 15 largest pharmaceutical companies in the world in addition to the American medical industry and cartel. Is it any wonder that the Rockefellers use petroleum drugs in their medical industry and cartel that they also own, considering that they also own and dominate the petroleum industry?

There is also a big connection between the automotive industry and cancer. The temple of the modern method of cancer treatment in the corporate United States is the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute in New York where young actress Michelle Thomas (of Family Matters sitcom) was murdered, oops, I mean “died.”

Alfred P. Sloan was president of General Motors Corporation for a number of years. Charles Kettering created the auto ignition, lights, starters and other electrical systems. Now why would individuals such as the Rockefellers, Sloan and Kettering be involved in the medical industry in general and cancer therapy (chemotherapy) in particular? Can you say BIG BUSINESS?

Oh yes, cancer is big business in the United States. The American Cancer Society, launched by the father of advertising, Albert Lasker, brings in hundreds of millions of dollars per year and has been doing so for many years and still they have no cure for cancer in Western/allopathic medicine. In truth, they are not even looking for one because the money is made in keeping people sick, performing surgery, and saturating cancer victims/patients with chemotherapy and radiation.

The Cancer industry knows the American people want a miracle pill that they can just pop into their mouth to knock cancer out (which will NEVER happen). The American people want this because a miracle pill would allow them to keep living lavishly and frivolously while eating their beloved degenerate, denatured and devalued Standard American Diet.

No pill will ever knock out (cure) any disease. A single pill didn’t cause the pathology. It was the thought process (mindset), diet and lifestyle (or death style) of the person that caused the pathology. And yes, consuming various or multiple pills (drugs) plays a role in the development of pathology. Disease is multidimensional and not one dimensional. Unfortunately for Western allopathic medicine, they treat disease in a one dimensional way.

Nearly one million people die from cancer in the United States every year. In all due honesty cancer patients/sufferers are not dying from cancer. They are in effect dying from the cancer treatments – chemotherapy and radiation and the belief that they are going to die (thanks to the unwise doctor telling the cancer patient this).

Folks, chemotherapy is POISON! If you give chemotherapy to a healthy person, the person will become sick. Now how can that which will make a healthy person sick be given to a sick person and expect to make them well? Where in the world is the logic in this?

The human body is NOT made up of chemotherapy (petroleum). Therefore, petroleum is a foreign substance in the body and will cause the body’s defense mechanism to kick in. But in cancerous persons, their bodies are already too weak to resist and fight the foreign substance.

Chemotherapy is so toxic, poisonous, and injurious that it makes the hair fall out. This alone should tell you something. You’re going to treat the cancer but one of the many side effects is that the hair on your head and face is going to fall off and out? This is outright insane and absurd, but yet in still hundreds of thousands of poor, frightened and ignorant individuals unwisely subject themselves to this insidious invasive process and to their great doom and demise.

The other widespread insidious technique used on cancer victims, oops, I mean “patients,” is RADIATION! Now you’ve really got to be out of your damn mind to undergo this treatment. Radiation has no place in the human body, at least not in the body of a healthy and sane person.

Radiation is based upon the toxic element “radium oxide,” a serious poison to the human body. Radiation treatment leads to radium neuritis and myalgia. Radiation is used under the illogical premise of killing the cancerous cells in the body, but how are you going to kill the cancerous cells of the body without harming and killing the good/beneficial cells of the body? Folks, radiation kills ALL cells in an indiscriminate way. This treatment and process literally burns and cooks your flesh and have you ever smelled cooked flesh of a living human being? It STINK something terrible, people! I know from first hand experience (with my beloved father who succumbed to lung cancer in 1994).

And for the males with prostate cancer, the insidious medical industry has a new technique that utilizes “radiation seeds” whereby doctors inject tiny radiation-like seeds in the male reproductive system including the testicles. The result is serious damage to the rectum.

Chemotherapy and radiation treatment is modern-day voluntary TORTURE, plain and simple!

Surgery

You’d have to be seriously out of your mind to undergo surgery while suffering from cancer. Surgery opens the body up and exposes the insides of the body to oxygen which causes cancer cells to spread rapidly and out of control. This is a sure-way ticket to an early and premature death, and not to mention, a very painful death.

Yes, cancer victims/patients experience a pain out of this world. In fact, this pain is so bad, many cancer victims/patients beg for death. I witnessed this with my father back in 1994. He became a skeleton. I remember my Uncle Larry and my Cousin Dennis attempting to get my father out of his bed one day and the man screamed for them to put him down and just leave him alone. The pain in moving him was unbearable.

People, it is a pain out of this world! This is why many cancer victims/patients are given pain killer drugs which do absolutely no justice at all. For most, they just end up praying to God to quickly remove them from their misery.

My poor mother was also one of these individuals, succumbing to pancreatic cancer (the worst cancer you could ever have) in 1999. It was my mother’s death that served as the quintessential catalyst for me to finally get up and start promoting and selling my herbal concoctions to the public. It was fear that prevented my mother from taking herbs during her bout with cancer. She opted for the Western solution (torture) and paid dearly for it.

Allopathic doctors had my mother on all kinds of drugs, mostly painkillers. My little sister reported to me that my mother was throwing up so bad (from the chemotherapy and other drugs) that she was throwing up her bowels. I heard horror stories about my mother and her experience in the hospital with cancer. It was because of all that I heard from my siblings and family members that I consciously chose not to visit her in the hospital during her last and dying days. I didn’t want to remember my mother this way and in that condition like I had done with my father out of familial pressure. When it was time to view my mother’s body at her funeral, before the casket was opened, I got up and walked out of the church and stood outside just looking at the Compton, California neighborhood my mother grew up in. My poor mother was reduced to skin and bones due to cancer.

So as far as surgery is involved, if you have cancer and decide on surgery, all I can say is: Kiss Me Goodnight, because ultimately you’re finished, through, 86ed, terminated, done, etc.

Personally, I’d recommend the new and effective alternative cancer treatment, Poly MVP and hyperbaric oxygen therapy instead of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation.

Breast Cancer Cause, Control And Cure For The Benefit Of Humankind

3gCancer accounts to a death of 6 million human lives per year. Modern medicine is aging with breath taking advances in cancer care with increasing awareness, preventing, detection, therapy, research and symptom management. Last 15 years has been a revolution. It is likely to fight Cancer out by getting an early detection especially at a pre cancer stage thus yielding best cure with much shorter treatment time, lesser cost, lesser body insult.

Am I at risk for breast cancer? Breast cancer is the most common malignancy-affecting woman in North America and Europe. Every woman is at risk for breast cancer. Close to 200,000 cases of breast cancer were diagnosed in the United States in 2001. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in American women behind lung cancer. The lifetime risk of any particular woman getting breast cancer is about 1 in 8 although the lifetime risk of dying from breast cancer is much lower at 1 in 28. The diagnosis once confirmed by Doctor shocks in such a way that not only the patient suffers but entire family suffers the shock. Thus the patient and family both suffer differently and that adds to the total burden of cancer related illness.

Know your breast: The breast is a collection of glands and fatty tissue that lies between the skin and the chest wall. The glands inside the breast produce milk after a woman has a baby. Each gland is called as lobule and many such lobules make up a lobe. There are 15 to 20 lobes in each breast. The milk gets to the nipple from the glands by way of tubes called ducts. The glands and ducts get bigger when a breast is filled with milk, but the tissue that is most responsible for the size and shape the breast is the fatty tissue. There are also blood vessels and lymph vessels in the breast. Lymph is a clear liquid waste product that gets drained out of the breast into lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are small, pea-sized pieces of tissue that filter and clean the lymph. Most lymph nodes that drain the breast are under the arm in what is called the axilla.

Risk factors for breast cancer: They can be divided into those that you cannot change and those that you can change. Some factors that increase your risk of breast cancer that you cannot alter include being a woman, getting older, having a family history (having a mother, sister, or daughter with breast cancer doubles your risk), having a previous history of breast cancer, having had radiation therapy to the chest region, being Caucasian, getting your periods young (before 12 years old), having your menopause late (after 50 years old), never having children or having them when you are older than 30, and having a genetic mutation that increases your risk. Genetic mutations for breast cancer have become a hot topic of research lately. Between 3-10% of breast cancers may be related to changes in either the gene BRCA1 or the gene BRCA2.

Women can inherit these mutations from their parents and it may be worth testing for either mutation if a woman has a particularly strong family history of breast cancer (meaning multiple relatives affected, especially if they are under 50 years old when they get the disease). If a woman is found to carry either mutation, she has a 50% chance of getting breast cancer before she is 70. Family members may elect to get tested to see if they carry the mutation as well. If a woman does have the mutation, she can get more rigorous screening or even undergo preventive (prophylactic) mastectomies to decrease her chances of contracting cancer. The decision to get tested is a highly personal one that should be discussed with a doctor who is trained in counseling patients about genetic testing.

Certain factors which increase a woman’s risk of breast cancer can be altered including taking hormone replacement therapy (long term use of estrogens with progesterone for menopause symptoms slightly increases your risk), taking birth control pills (a very slight increased risk that disappears in women who have stopped them for over 10 years), not breastfeeding, drinking 2 to 5 alcoholic drinks a day, being overweight (especially after menopause), and not exercising. All of these modifiable risk factors are not nearly as important as gender, age, and family history, but they are things that a woman can control that may reduce her chances of developing a breast malignancy. Remember that all risk factors are based on probabilities, and even someone without any risk factors can still get breast cancer. Proper screening and early detection are our best weapons in reducing the mortality associated with this disease.

What are the signs of breast cancer? Unfortunately, the early stages of breast cancer may not have any symptoms. This is why it is important to follow screening recommendations. As a tumor grows in size, it can produce a variety of symptoms including: lump or thickening in the breast or underarm, change in size or shape of the breast, nipple discharge or nipple turning inward, redness or scaling of the skin or nipple, ridges or pitting of the breast skin

Can you prevent breast cancer? The individual cannot control the most important risk factors for the development of breast cancer. There are some risk factors that are associated with an increased risk, but there is not a clear cause and effect relationship. In no way can strong recommendations be made like the cause and effect relationship seen with tobacco and lung cancer. There are a few risk factors that may be modified by a woman that potentially could influence the development of breast cancer. If possible, a woman should avoid long-term hormone replacement therapy, have children before age 30, breastfeed, avoid weight gain through exercise and proper diet, and limit alcohol consumption to 1 drink a day or less. For women already at a high risk, their risk of developing breast cancer can be reduced by about 50% by taking a drug called Tamoxifen for five years. Tamoxifen has some common side effects (like hot flashes and vaginal discharge), which are not serious and some uncommon side effects (like blood clots, pulmonary embolus, stroke, and uterine cancer) which are life threatening. Tamoxifen isn’t widely used for prevention, but may be useful in some cases.

There are limited data suggesting that vitamin A may protect against breast cancer but further research is needed before it can be recommended for prevention. Other things being investigated include phyto estrogens (naturally occurring estrogens that are in high numbers in soy), vitamin E, vitamin C, and other drugs. Further testing of these substances is also needed before they can be recommended for breast cancer prevention. Right now, the most important thing any woman can do to decrease her risk of dying from breast cancer is to have regular mammogram screening, perform breast self-exams once a month. Follow a few, easy steps, you will soon know what is normal for you and will quickly be aware of any changes. If you find a lump or other change, note down where it is and make an appointment to see your doctor as soon as possible.

Question for young women’s are how to look? Well it is medically suggested that you stand up straight in front of a mirror with your arms loosely by your sides. Raise your arms above your head and move from side to side so you can see your breasts in the mirror, from different angles. What should you look for? A change in the size of either breast, change in the shape or position of nipple, bleeding or discharge from the nipples, unusual dimpling or puckering.
How do you feel for changes? Lie flat on your back with your head on a pillow. Put a folded towel under the shoulder on the side of the breast you are checking. This helps to spread the tissue so that it is easier to feel. Examine one breast at a time. Put the hand on the same side of the breast that you are going to examine under your head. With your other hand flat and fingers together, use the flats of your fingers to feel around the breast in small, circular movements, in an anticlockwise direction. Cover the whole of the breast including the nipple. Check your armpit for lumps in the same way, starting in the hollow and moving down towards the breast.

Now examine the other breast in the same way. If you think you have found something, feel the same area on the opposite breast. If they are the same it’s probably just your shape, but if you are at all worried, do visit your doctor. Breast cancer happens when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control and can then invade nearby tissues or spread throughout the body. Large collections of this out of control tissue are called tumors. However, some tumors are not really cancer because they cannot spread or threaten someone’s life. These are called benign tumors. The tumors that can spread throughout the body or invade nearby tissues are considered cancer and are called malignant tumors. Theoretically, any of the types of tissue in the breast can form a cancer, but usually it comes from either the ducts or the glands. Because it may take months to years for a tumor to get large enough to feel in the breast, we screen for tumors with mammograms, which can sometimes see disease before we can feel it.

The earlier that a breast cancer is found, the more likely it is that treatment can be curable. Screening mammograms are simply x-rays of each breast. The breast is placed between two plates for a few seconds while the x-rays are taken. If something appears abnormal, or better views are needed, magnified views or specially angled films are taken during the mammogram. Mammograms often detect tumors before they can be felt and they can also identify tiny specks of calcium that could be an early sign of cancer. Regular screening mammograms can decrease the mortality of breast cancer by 30%. Woman should get a yearly mammogram starting at age 40 (although some groups recommend starting at 50), and women with a genetic mutation that increases their risk or a strong family history may want to begin even earlier. Between the ages of 20 and 39, every woman should have a clinical breast exam every 3 years and after age 40 every woman should have a clinical breast exam done each year.

There are some experimental screening modalities that are currently being studied. These include MRI, ductal lavage, ultrasound, optical tomography, PET scan, and digital mammograms. Depending on the results of the mammograms and/or ultrasounds, your doctors may recommend that you get a biopsy. A biopsy is the only way to know for sure if you have cancer, because it allows your doctors to get cells that can be examined under a microscope. There are different types of biopsies; they differ on how much tissue is removed. Some biopsies use a very fine needle, while others use thicker needles or even require a small surgical procedure to remove more tissue. Your team of doctors will decide which type of biopsy you need depending on your particular breast mass. Once the tissue is removed, a pathologist will review the specimen. The pathologist can tell if it is cancer or not; and if it is cancerous, then the pathologist will characterize it by what type of tissue it arose from, how abnormal it looks (known as the grade), whether or not it is invading surrounding tissues, and if the entire lump was excised, the pathologist can tell if there are any cancer cells left at the borders (also known as the margins). The pathologist will also test the cancer cells for the presence of estrogen and progesterone receptors as well as a receptor known as HER-2/neu. Basic 4 stages of breast cancer are called as

Stage 0 (called carcinoma in situ) Lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS) refers to abnormal cells lining a gland in the breast. Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) refers to abnormal cells lining a duct.

Stage I – early stage breast cancer where the tumor is less that 2 cm across and hasn’t spread beyond the breast

Stage II – early stage breast cancer where the tumor is either less than 2 cm across and has spread to the lymph nodes under the arm; or the tumor is between 2 and 5 cm (with or without spread to the lymph nodes under the arm); or the tumor is greater than 5 cm and hasn’t spread outside the breast

Stage III – locally advanced breast cancer where the tumor is greater than 5 cm across and has spread to the lymph nodes under the arm; or the cancer is extensive in the underarm lymph nodes; or the cancer has spread to lymph nodes near the breastbone or to other tissues near the breast

Stage IV – metastatic breast cancer where the cancer has spread outside the breast to other organs in the body

Depending on the stage of your cancer, your doctor may want additional tests to see if you have metastatic disease. If you have a stage III cancer, you will probably get a chest x-ray, CT scan and bone scan to look for metastases. Each patient is an individual and your doctors will decide what is necessary to adequately stage your cancer.
What are the treatments for breast cancer?

Surgery: Almost all women with breast cancer will have some type of surgery in the course of their treatment while some women will be candidates for what is called breast conservation therapy (BCT) where surgeons perform a lumpectomy which means they remove the tumor with a little bit of breast tissue around it but do not remove the entire breast. Some patients will have a sentinel lymph node biopsy procedure first to determine if a formal lymph node dissection is required. Sometimes, the surgeon will remove a larger part (but not the whole breast), and this is called a segmental or partial mastectomy. Most patients with DCIS that have a lumpectomy are treated with radiation therapy to prevent the local recurrence of DCIS.More advanced breast cancers are usually treated with a modified radical mastectomy. Modified radical mastectomy means removing the entire breast and dissecting the lymph nodes under the arm.

Chemotherapy: is the use of anti-cancer drugs that go throughout the entire body. The higher the stage of cancer you have, the more important it is that you receive chemotherapy; however, even stage I patients may benefit from chemotherapy in certain cases. In early stage patients, the risk of recurrence may be small, and thus the benefits of the chemotherapy are even smaller. There are many different chemotherapy drugs, and they are usually given in combinations for 3 to 6 months after you receive your surgery. Depending on the type of chemotherapy regimen you receive, you may get medication every 3 or 4 weeks; and you may have to go to a clinic to get the chemotherapy because many of the drugs have to be given through a vein. Two of the most common regimens are AC (doxorubicin and cycolphosphamide) for 3 months or CMF (cycolphosphamide, methotrexate, and fluorouracil) for 6 months. There are advantages and disadvantages to each of the different regimens that your medical oncologist will discuss with you. Based on your own health, your personal values and wishes, and side effects you may wish to avoid, you can work with your doctors to come up with the best regimen for your lifestyle.

Radiotherapy: uses high-energy rays (similar to x-rays) to kill cancer cells. It comes from an external source, and it requires patients to come in 5 days a week for up to 6 weeks to a radiation therapy treatment center. The treatment takes just a few minutes, and it is painless. Radiation therapy is used in all patients who receive breast conservation therapy (BCT). It is also recommended for patients after a mastectomy that had large tumors, lymph node involvement, or close/positive margins after the surgery. Radiation is important in reducing the risk of local recurrence and is often offered in more advanced cases to kill tumor cells that may be living in lymph nodes.

Hormonal Therapy: When the pathologist examines your tumor specimen, he or she finds out if the tumor is expressing estrogen and progesterone receptors. Patients whose tumors express estrogen receptors are candidates for therapy with an estrogen-blocking drug called Tamoxifen. Tamoxifen is taken by pill form for 5 years after your surgery. This drug has been shown to drastically reduce your risk of recurrence if your tumor expresses estrogen receptors. However, there are side effects commonly associated with Tamoxifen including weight gain, hot flashes and vaginal discharge that patients may be bothered by. There are also very uncommon side effects like blood clots, strokes, or uterine cancer that may scare patients from choosing to take it. You need to remember that your chances of having a recurrence of your cancer are usually higher than your chances of having a serious problem with Tamoxifen, but the decision to undergo hormonal therapy is a personal one that you should make with your doctor. There are also newer drugs, called aromatase inhibitors that act by decreasing your body’s supply of estrogen; these drugs are reserved for patients who have already gone through menopause. Talk to your doctors about these new therapies.

Biologic Therapy: The pathologist also examines your tumor for the presence of HER-2/neu over expression. A compound called Herceptin (or Trastuzumab) is a substance that blocks this receptor and helps stop the breast cancer from growing.

Follow-up testing: Once a patient has been treated for breast cancer, they need to be closely followed for a recurrence. At first, you will have follow-up visits every 3-4 months. The longer you are free of disease, the less often you will have to go for checkups. After 5 years, you could see your doctor once a year. You should have a mammogram of the treated and untreated breasts every year. Because having had breast cancer is a risk factor for getting it again, having your mammograms done every year is extremely important. If you are taking Tamoxifen, it is important that you get a pelvic exam each year and report any abnormal vaginal bleeding to your doctor.

Drink Green Tea: Generations of families in India and Asia have been turning to tea to cure what ails them. Green tea could benefit at least five vital organs, including the heart. Earlier, green tea was thought to improve urinary and brain function, combat beriberi disease, and alleviate indigestion. In other words, green tea was considered to be a multi-purpose elixir, able to treat a wide variety of health problems. But this ancient remedy has now found a place in modern scientific literature, thanks to a new wave of studies on the medicinal properties of green tea. While studies on human subjects have been inconclusive, initial evidence from the laboratory looks incredibly promising.

While green tea can be beneficial in attacking everything from high cholesterol to depression, it has perhaps gotten the most attention for its impact on cancer.
Antioxidants are important because they can stop the enzyme activities that give rise to cancer. In essence, they repair DNA problems that have been caused by oxidants or free radicals. Green tea has been considered a godsend for good health because it contains antioxidants known as catechins. These substances have been called impressive inhibitors of cancer growth. Here’s how they do it: lab tests show that they combat oxidants prior to cell injuries, stop the growth of tumor cells, and reduce the occurrence of tumors.

jMore and more people have cancer these days. It is almost like the plague that no one wants to talk about, and it keeps getting worse.

    • In the early 1900s, one in 20 developed cancer.

 

    • In the 1940s, one in 16 developed cancer.

 

    • In the 1970s, it was one in 10.

 

  • Today, it is one in three!

Conventional medicine is no where close to finding a cancer cure. Cancer, in fact, is huge business for the pharmaceutical companies. It is a US $125 billion industry! The typical cancer patient spends $50,000 fighting the disease. Chemotherapy drugs are among the most expensive of all treatments, many ranging from $3,000-7,000 for a one-month supply.

The cancer industry spends virtually nothing of its multi-billion dollar resources on prevention strategies, such as dietary advice, exercise, and obesity education. Instead, it pours its money into treating cancer – chemotherapy drugs, radiotherapy, surgeries, and diagnostic technologies.

Why? Many people believe if the drug companies find a cure, the patient base goes away. It is much more profitable to keep a steady stream of cancer patients alive, but sick, so that they will keep going back for more drugs. Is this not the same formula for many other modern chronic diseases, such as diabetes?

Do not ever believe that if you get cancer, it is merely the draw of bad luck or it is inevitable. The most common cause of cancer, in 90-95% of all cases, is acquired mutations, which are directly caused by dietary and lifestyle factors. Even if you have inherited the types of genes that are linked to cancer, which only makes up about 5-10% of all cancers, there is ample evidence that genes interact with their environment. In other words, if you eat and live right, you still stand a good chance of preventing the development of cancer.

Therefore, you need to take preventive steps NOW. It is much easier to prevent cancer than to treat it once it takes hold. The following are three key actions to cancer prevention.

I. Eat REAL Food

A recent study found that Americans obtained:

    • 63% of their calories from highly processed foods (e.g. hots dogs, margarine, frozen entrees, baked goods, ice cream, and candies),

 

    • 30% from moderately processed foods (e.g. white rice, pasta, peanut butter, jam, canned produce, processed dairy products, and processed meats/cold cuts),

 

  • only 7% from unprocessed or minimally processed foods (e.g. fresh or frozen produce, beans, nuts, eggs, brown rice, milk, and fresh meats).

For thousands and thousands of years, human beings have been making food from scratch. Never in human history have we eaten so much convenience food products, microwave meals, packaged snacks, and fast food.

The cancer “plague” is a wake up call for all of us to change our mindset and lifestyle. Yes, it is really tempting after a long day’s work to open a package and stick it into the microwave, or to pick up a pizza or take-outs on the way home. But as we all know, these are not nutritious food and in the long-run, they may result in detrimental consequences to our health.

We need to eat REAL food. Processed and packaged foods are not only nutrient deficient (low in antioxidants and phytochemicals), they also contain unhealthy ingredients, such as processed vegetable oils, high fructose corn syrup, excess sodium, preservatives, and additives. The more we eat, the more health problems we develop.

1. Prepare your meals

    • Cook your food from scratch but avoid deep frying or charbroiling as these cooking methods create carcinogenic substances. If you don’t have time to cook during the week, prepare your food on weekends and freeze in individual containers. Reheat on the stove or oven.

 

    • Use only good oil for cooking. Restaurants and processed foods generally use cheap vegetable oils derived from canola, corn, soy, safflower, or sunflower. Some may use grape seed oil or rice bran oil. All these are processed, refined oils that are relatively high in omega-6 which promotes inflammation, an instigator for cancer. The best oils to use for cooking are coconut oil and organic animal fats, ghee, and butter. Reserve extra virgin olive oil for low heat cooking and salad dressing.

 

    • Incorporate some raw food into your diet as they are rich in enzymes which can be easily destroyed by cooking. Not everyone can tolerate a lot of raw food in the diet, therefore, it is important to find your own balance.

 

  • Stay away from packaged snacks. It is one thing to bake home-made cookies using organic butter, whole grain flour, and may be a bit of natural sugar like maple syrup or honey. It is a totally different thing when you buy commercially baked goods and cookies. These packaged snacks are often made with processed vegetable oils, some even with trans fat, high fructose corn syrup, and all kinds of additives and preservatives.

2. Watch your sugar

    • Processed and packaged foods are usually very high in sugar. Look at the boxed cereals you eat every morning, the packaged snacks you eat in mid-afternoon, or the fruit juice/soda that you drink. Add everything you eat and drink in one day and see how much it is. Know that a teaspoon of sugar is equivalent to 4 grams. On average, Americans consume 20 teaspoons of sugar a day!

 

    • More than one out of three Americans aged 20 and older has pre-diabetes, a condition in which your blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be diagnosed as full-blown diabetes. A recent meta-analysis that included data from nearly 900,000 people show that those with pre-diabetes have a 15 percent higher risk of cancer, especially cancers of the breast, endometrium, liver, pancreas, and stomach.

 

    • People who have pre-diabetes generally have higher levels of insulin as well as insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1). IGF-1 plays a key role in cell growth and proliferation. This is why diabetes and pre-diabetes raise your risk of cancer.

 

    • Sugar is the ideal food for cancer cells and promotes their growth. If you currently have cancer or are pre-diabetic, you must absolutely avoid all forms of sugar, both natural and refined. You should also refrain from eating refined carbohydrates as they are broken down very quickly into simple sugars. For healthy people, keep your sugar intake to a minimum and use it only as an occasional treat.

 

    • Some names for added sugars include agave syrup, brown sugar, corn sweetener, corn syrup, sugar molecules ending in “ose” (dextrose, fructose, glucose, lactose, maltose, sucrose), high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice concentrate, honey, invert sugar, malt sugar, molasses, raw sugar, sugar, and syrup.

 

    • People who have diabetes and pre-diabetes should particularly pay attention to their fructose intake. While every cell in the body can use glucose, the liver is the only organ that can metabolize fructose in significant amounts. The liver turns the fructose into fat, which is exported as VLDL cholesterol, resulting in high blood triglycerides and cholesterol, fat around the organs, and ultimately heart disease. Fructose increases uric acid in your blood and contributes to gout and high blood pressure. Deposition of excess fat in the liver leads to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Too much fructose brings on insulin resistance, which gives rise to elevated insulin and IGF-1 and may eventually cause cancer.

 

    • Some forms of sugar are especially high in fructose. Agave is the worst, with a fructose content ranging from 70-97%, depending on how it is processed. High fructose corn syrup is 55% fructose, table sugar is 50%, and honey is about 40%.

 

  • Fruits, obviously, contain fructose or fruit sugar. Those who have blood sugar issues or have cancer should limit their fruit intake to just berries as they are much lower in fructose. If you are healthy, you can eat whole fruits but do not drink fruit juice. With juice, it is too easy to overdose and reach a harmful level of fructose.

3. Buy only quality meats and dairy

    • Choose grass-pastured, sustainably-raised, organic meats to reduce your exposure to antibiotics, hormones, herbicides, pesticides, and genetically-modified animal feed.

 

    • If you are on a budget, buy grass-fed ground meats or cheaper cuts of meats that require longer cooking time.

 

  • With dairy products, it is best to buy organic and/or grass-fed.

4. Eat cancer-fighting foods every day

    • A recent study shows that a typical American eats less than 4 tablespoons of vegetables (both cruciferous and dark leafy) every day. Iceberg lettuce, which Americans eat tons of, does not count as a green because it is far too low in nutrients.

 

  • Incorporate more of these cancer-fighting whole foods, herbs, and spices into your daily diet – cruciferous vegetables (such as broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, kale), dark leafy greens, asparagus, tomatoes, berries, pomegranates, green tea, oregano, rosemary, cinnamon, turmeric, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

II. Reduce Your Body’s TOXIC Load

It is unfortunate that we now live in a chemical soup. There are 84,000 artificial chemicals in our air, food, water, and household products. More than 10,000 chemical additives with questionable safety (as they have never been tested in humans) are allowed in food and food packaging alone.

Roughly 13,000 chemicals are used in cosmetics, of which only 10 percent have been evaluated for safety. According to the Environmental Working Group, the average U.S. woman uses 12 personal care products and/or cosmetics a day, containing 168 different chemicals. While most men use less products, they are still exposed to about 85 such chemicals daily. Many of these chemicals affect the human endocrine system. Scientists warn that these toxins may fuel breast and prostate cancers.

Children are entering puberty at younger and younger ages. In 2010, the average age of the onset of puberty was 10.5 years for girls, six years younger than in 1860 when it was 16.6 years. Scientific evidence strongly suggest that hormone-disrupting chemicals are likely the cause.

Likewise, exposure to industrial chemicals and pollutants is contributing to a wide array of health problems, including asthma, cancer, and reproductive abnormalities.

The following discusses the eight major sources of cancer-promoting toxins in our bodies – food, skin, dental amalgams, alcohol, air, radiation, vaccines, and water.

1. Food

Pesticides

Vegetables and fruits are among the healthiest foods you can eat, but they are also foods that are commonly contaminated with pesticides and herbicides. The U.S. uses about 1.1 billion pounds of pesticides each year. It is not uncommon for your apple or strawberries to contain multiple pesticides. Pesticides are the most harmful to kids’ brains. Pregnant women should watch out for their exposure to pesticides.

Genetically modified crops are often heavily sprayed with herbicides such as Roundup (glyphosate). Eating organic is one of the best ways to lower your overall pesticide and herbicide burden.

If you cannot afford to go all organic, at least opt for organic versions of these heavily contaminated produce – apples, carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, collard greens, cucumbers, grapes, hot peppers, kale, nectarines, peaches, pears, potatoes, snap peas, spinach, strawberries, and sweet bell peppers.

Mercury

Many ocean fish, especially the larger kind contain copious amounts of mercury. Bluefish, grouper, mackerel (King, Spanish, Gulf), marlin, orange roughy, Chilean seabass, shark, swordfish, tilefish, and tuna are the worst among all.

Beware that farmed fish may not have mercury, but they can be contaminated with PCBs. Wild caught Alaskan salmon, sardines, herrings, and anchovies are your best bet.

Antibiotics

Multi-drug-resistant typhoid, tuberculosis, and gonorrhea kill hundreds of thousands of people each year, and it is increasingly getting worse. Scientists have been warning about this for a number of years, but now it seems the antibiotic apocalypse is really close at hand.

Researchers recently discovered a new gene, called mcr-1, in pigs and people in China. It is a gene mutation that makes bacteria resistant to our last-resort class of antibiotics. What’s more, this resistance can reach epidemic potential as the rate of transfer between bacteria is exceptionally high.

    • To combat antibiotic resistance, livestock farmers must end the use of low-dose antibiotics. Eighty percent of all antibiotics used in the U.S. are for livestock, to ward off disease and to promote weight gain.

 

    • We should only buy meats that are raised without antibiotics. If we buy USDA organic meats, we know that no antibiotics could be used for growth promotion.

 

    • Antibiotics can only treat bacterial infections, therefore, avoid the use of antibiotics to treat viral illnesses, such as colds and flus. One course of antibiotics may disrupt your microbiome (gut flora) for a year. Reserve antibiotics for severe, life threatening bacterial infections only.

 

  • Avoid using antibacterial household products, such as hand soap.

Food Additives

If you buy any packaged or processed foods, it is most likely that they will contain a number of food additives. These chemicals are added to improve the look, taste, and texture of the food you buy. Some of these chemicals are probably innocuous but the following are the ones that you should definitely avoid:

– Partially hydrogenated oils such as those made from canola, corn, cottonseed, soy, safflower, and sunflower.

2. Skin

Your skin is your largest, most permeable organ in the body. Just about anything you put on it will end up in your bloodstream and be distributed throughout the body. Once these chemicals enter the body, they accumulate over time. Putting toxins on your skin is worse than eating them. At least if you were to eat these ingredients, your liver would have a chance to detoxify and eliminate them before any permanent damage could be done.

Beware that products boasting “all natural” labels may still contain harmful chemicals. Of course, the safest bet is to buy USDA 100% organic.

Check your shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, cosmetics, mouthwash, toothpaste, hair dye, and nail polish to make sure they do not contain the following toxins. Only use aluminum-free antiperspirants.

    • Artificial colors

 

    • Coal tar

 

    • DEA/TEA/MEA

 

    • Formaldehyde

 

    • Methylisothiazolinone

 

    • Mineral oil

 

    • Oxybenzone

 

    • Parabens

    • Sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate (SLS)

 

    • Synthetic musks

 

    • Talc

 

    • Toluene

 

  • Triclosan

3. Dental Amalgams

Amalgam fillings contain 50 percent mercury. Every time you chew, you release toxic heavy metals into your body. If you have any amalgam fillings in your mouth, find a biological/mercury-free dentist to safely remove your amalgam fillings.

4. Alcohol

    • Alcoholic drinks contain ethanol, which is produced by the fermentation of sugars or starches by yeasts. When we drink alcohol, the body has to break down the ethanol to acetaldehyde, which is a toxic chemical. One of the functions of the liver is to neutralize all sorts of toxic substances we consume. That is why it is not a smart idea to overload the liver with too much toxins. Chronic heavy drinking can result in fatty liver and ultimately liver cirrhosis, where healthy liver tissue is replaced with scar tissue, preventing the liver from proper functioning.

 

    • Drinking alcohol can increase your risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, larynx (voice box), liver, breast, and colon. The more you drink, the higher your risk. The risk of cancer is much higher for those who drink alcohol and also use tobacco.

 

    • If you don’t drink, do not start. If you do drink, do so moderately. Moderate alcohol consumption is up to one drink per day for women and up to two drinks per day for men. One drink is 12 oz of beer (5% alcohol), 5 oz of wine (12% alcohol), and 1.5 oz of hard liquor (40% alcohol).

 

  • Studies show that moderate alcohol consumption, especially red wine, is linked to reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes, and may actually increase life expectancy. The bottom line is if you drink, do not drink every day because alcohol is very addictive. Drink moderately and responsibly.

5. Air

Many industries release thousands of toxins into the environment every day, heavily polluting the air that we breathe in. The biggest culprits are the mining, chemical, paper, and transport industries.

The smaller the diameter of the particle, the greater its risk of health damage. These particles can easily pass deep into your lungs, causing damage to not only your lungs, but also your heart and brain. Research shows that long-term exposure to fine particulate matter air pollution is associated with atherosclerosis and significantly faster cognitive decline in older adults.

    • If you happen to live in a heavily polluted area, the ideal option is to move.

 

    • If it is not possible, it may be best to stay indoors as much as possible.

 

    • However, indoor air can be 5-10 times more polluted than outdoor air due to lack of ventilation. Therefore, consider using a high quality air purifier.

 

    • Vacuum your floors regularly using a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner.

 

    • Get some house plants.

 

    • Leave your shoes by the door when you enter the house.

 

    • Do not allow tobacco smoking in the house. Smoking is terrible but second hand smoke is almost as harmful. Each year, because of exposure to tobacco smoke, an estimated 3,000 nonsmoking Americans die of lung cancer and 300,000 children suffer from lower respiratory-tract infections.

 

    • Use non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and VOC-free household cleaning products.

 

    • Avoid using air fresheners and scented candles.

 

  • Avoid non-stick or Teflon-type cookwares, which release toxins into the air when heated. It is much safer to use ceramic cookwares instead.

6. Radiation

    • Minimize your exposure from radiation-based medical scans, including body and dental x-rays, CT scans, and mammograms. This form of ionizing radiation has been proven to increase your risk of cancer over time. Each exposure to radiation builds up in the body and the risk of cancer increases with each radiation exposure. So even though a single source of exposure to radiation is unlikely to cause cancer by itself, the combined exposures add up throughout our lifetime and increase our risk of cancer in the long-run.

 

    • Mobile phonesgive off radio frequency energy, a form of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation. In 2011, the World Health Organization (WHO)/International Agency for Research on Cancer classified the electromagnetic field produced by mobile phones as a Class B carcinogen in humans.This classification came in part in response to research showing wireless phones increase the risk for brain cancer.

 

    • An Israeli research group found a four-fold increase in parotid gland cancers from 1970 to 2006, with the steepest increase happening after 2001. Parotid gland is a type of salivary gland, located closest to your cheek, the same area where most people typically hold their cell phones. Study showed that rates of other salivary gland cancers remained stable.

 

    • Never hold cell phone close to your ear. Instead, use the speaker phone feature or a wired headset.

 

    • Never carry your cell phone on your body. For women, do not tuck the phone into your bra. For men, do not put the phone in close proximity of your reproductive organs.

 

    • Children and teens are at greatest risk for both parotid gland tumors and brain tumors as their thinner skull bones allow for greater penetration of cell phone radiation, all the way into their midbrain. Also, children’s cells reproduce more quickly, so they are more susceptible to aggressive cell growth.

 

  • Pregnant women would also be wise to avoid cell phones as much as possible.

7. Vaccines

Vaccination is a very controversial subject. There are benefits and risks involved, therefore, it is best to educate yourself before making a decision.

The truth about vaccines is that they are not as effective as the medical community and the media promote, nor are they as safe as promised. Yet, they are also not as ineffective as many in the alternative health community believe.

Nevertheless, do bear in mind that vaccines may contain chemicals (like formaldehyde), heavy metals (such as thimerosal which is 50% mercury, or aluminum), and allergens (such as egg protein or MSG). Toxins tend to accumulate in your body over time. Therefore, before you get any vaccines, do your own research.

Flu vaccines in multi-dose vials have thimerosal as a preservative. Single-dose thimerosal-free flu vaccines is better but, in actuality, do contain “trace” amounts of mercury as well. The Flu Mist is truly thimerosal-free.

8. Water

    • Tap water is cheap, quick, and easy. However, the Environment Working Group (EWG) tested tap water in 45 states a couple of years ago and found 202 chemical contaminants that are not subject to any government regulation or safety standards for drinking water.

 

    • Bottled water, depending on its source, may not be the cleanest. It is expensive and plastic bottles have a devastating impact on the environment.

 

    • Distilled water can lead to long-term health problems because it lacks the important minerals that the body needs.

 

    • Alkaline water is best used for short-term (1-2 weeks max) detoxification purpose only. Also, the alkalization process does not filter the water.

 

    • Clean, filtered tap water is the most convenient, economical, and healthy source of water. Look for carbon-type filters (for above and under counter filtration systems) that can remove heavy metals like lead and mercury, chlorine resistant cysts like giardia and cryptosporidium, pharmaceuticals, and organic chemicals like herbicides, pesticides, and VOCs.

 

    • Do know that Brita, Pur, Zero, and all pitcher-type water filters only remove 5 ingredients – cadmium, copper, chlorine, mercury, and zinc. They are not effective in removing the other contaminants.

 

  • To remove fluoride, you can add bone char filters to your existing water filtration system.

III. Strengthen Your IMMUNE System

Your immune system continually battles against colds, flus, and all sorts of infections. It also constantly works to snuff out cancer cells long before they have a chance to develop into life-threatening illnesses. As one example, immune cells in your bloodstream called natural killer (NK) cells can inject poison into a cancer cell, so the cell wall breaks down, and the contents spill out, nipping cancer in the bud.

4. Reduce Chronic Stress

    • Chronic stress, the day-after-day kind you experience over job dissatisfaction or insecurity, a sick relative, or a bad relationship, takes a toll on many aspects of your health, including immunity. 5. Exercise Regularly

    • On breast cancer, the risk reduction was 30-40% in both premenopausal and menopausal women.

 

    • On uterine cancer, the risk reduction was 38-46%.

 

    • On lung cancer, the risk reduction was 20%.

 

    • By being physically active, you are less likely to be overweight or obese, which increases the risk of cancers that use hormones to grow and spread, such as breast and uterine cancers. Studies found that women who are overweight and obese have higher levels of estrogen in the blood.

 

    • Regular exercise helps improve insulin sensitivity, resulting in lower levels of insulin and the cancer-promoting Insulin Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1).

 

    • Exercise increases blood and oxygen flow in the entire body. Cancer cells share a common vulnerability with viruses, bacteria, and fungi, all of which hate high levels of oxygen. Oxygen stimulates the growth of new blood vessels in tumors, however, instead of boosting a tumor’s growth potential, it has the opposite effect – it weakens the cancer cells from the inside.

 

  • Exercise increases the production and circulation of macrophages, a type of white blood cells, throughout the system. After exercising, the body returns to normal within a few hours, but regular exercise appears to extend periods of immunity.

6. Get Enough Vitamin D

    • There is scientific evidence that you can decrease your risk of cancer by more than 50 percent simply by optimizing your vitamin D levels. The optimum blood level for a healthy person is 50-70 ng/ml. If you are being treated for cancer, it should be 80-100 ng/ml.

 

    • The best way to get vitamin D is to expose your face, arms, and legs to sunshine for 15-20 minutes every day. Some people are very sensitive to sun and need to build up gradually. If you have darker skin, you may need up to 30 minutes of daily exposure.

 

  • Alternatively, you can take a vitamin D3 supplement. Most people need about 5,000 I.U. to achieve the optimal range. If you take a D3, you should supplement with vitamin K2 as well.
